  5. An automated city and province name generator.
  6.  
  7. This product will save you a substantial amount of time when
  8. typing addresses. The average town name is about 12 characters
  9. long. Include a comma, two spaces (as required by Canada Post)
  10. and the province two letter code, and that is 17 characters. All
  11. this can be achieved with one click of the mouse.
  12.  
  13. When you wish to type an address all you need to do is type the
  14. Name, Company and Street. Then click on the icon for automated
  15. city. It looks like an envelope with the Postal Code and City
  16. highlighted.

  18. A message box will appear with a request for the postal code.
  19. Type in the postal code (which you will have to do anyway), in
  20. upper or lower case, and not only will the postal code print,
  21. but before it the city and province code will also print. All
  22. this automatically with the click of one mouse button.

  24. Installation instructions.

  26. 1. Copy the file POSTCODE.SMM to the directory that contains your
  27. Ami Pro macros.
  28.  
  29. 2. Copy the file marked POSTCODE.BMP to the Ami Pro ICONS directory.

  31. 3. Select `Tools' `Smarticons...'
  32.  
  33. 4. Select the Smarticon set you wish to use
  34.  
  35. 5. Look in the list of Available Icons for the icon for Ami Post.
  36. It is an envelope with the city and postal code in colour. It
  37. will probably be the last one on the list, and it will have no
  38. description next to it. Select it (just single click on the
  39. icon.)

  41. 6. Select Edit Icon

  43. 7. Look on the list of Macros for POSTCODE.SMM, then select it
  44. (single click)
  45.  
  46. 8. Click on `OK'
  47.  
  48. 9. Move the Icon from the icon list to the smarticon set you wish
  49. to use it with
  50.  
  51. 10. Click on `OK'
  52.  
  53. 11. Whenever you wish to type an address, on an envelope or letter
  54. or anywhere, just postion the cursor to the City position then
  55. click on the icon. After the city has been generated you can
  56. edit it like any other text. This will speed up address input
  57. tremendously.

  59. 12. Use a postal code of `Register' to see registration details.

  61. 13. The demo version of Ami Post contains only Metropolitan Toronto
  62. addresses. The registered version contains all of Canada. US ZIP
  63. codes are also available.

  65. 14. If you wish you can assign a shortcut key to the Ami Post macro:

  67. 15. Select 'Tools' 'Macros' 'Edit' then select POSTCODE.SMM from the
  68. macros list.

  70. 16. Click the mouse cursor in the 'playback shortcut keys' box and
  71. press the shortcut key combination, e.g. <CRTL><SHIFT>P
  72.  
  73. 17. Click on the [SAVE} box, then the [OK] box
  74.  
  75. 18. The macro will load. Close the macro file and it is ready for
  76. use with the shortcut key. You may use this demo version freely without the requirement to
  77. register, providing you do not make changes to it. Distribution
  78. is encouraged freely, also providing no changes are made. c1994
